UKParrots ~ For Parrot Lovers

My Flock

Alfie & Freddie my African greys.I was very fortunate to find a wonderful lady called Lesley who is a small time breeder.I followed my boys journey from a few days old until they were fully weaned & able to come home with me.In the beginning i was only going to have one baby but as time progressed i didn't have it in my heart to separate these two.Even till this day they share such a strong bond, they truly are blood brothers.Alfie is my snuggle bug,a big cuddly grey with a big heart, very laid back & gentle.Freddie the total opposite, a total clown, always on the go looking for mischief. These guys have brought so much into my life & in return i hope they have a great life with me as they deserve. They live in their own bird room, not caged at all, they have a great choice of ropes.stands, swings perches etc to play on along with more toys than toysrus !!! They eat a very varied diet, fruit, vegetables, pulses etc..They share their room with Coco a female Grey who definitely rules the roost.

Millie is my 16 month old B&G Macaw.Millie came into my life when she was just 10 weeks old.Millie is like a toddler, full of beans unable to sit still for 5 minutes ! She keeps on going until she finally runs out of steam & has to take an afternoon siesta which is usually tucked up in my arms.We share a very close bond due to the fact she became a part of my life at such a young age.She is my constant companion, where i go Millie follows.B&G macaws are so full of character, she never ceases to put a smile on my face with her clownish antics.Millie is one very loved & spoilt little girl.

Not long after i had acquired Alfie & Freddie i received a phone call asking me if i was interested in re homing a 2 year old grey.I didn't have to ponder the answer for too long ! I spoke to Coco's then owner,Annie who for personal reasons had to let Coco go, at the time she was named Rocco & believed to be a male.It was agreed i would take on Coco & Annie drove to me with Coco to meet myself & my greys. Initially Coco was very quiet & wary of her new surroundings, she hadn't had the freedom of not living in a cage & had never interacted with another parrot. The boys were great with Coco being so young themselves they accepted her readily as part of the flock.Within days Coco's true colours started to shine through. She is as mischievous as Freddie, into everything & anything ! id say she definitely is the naughtiest out of the three. She is the most vocal of the trio, happily whistling along to the MacDonald's tune or driving the dog mad by constantly calling Ty come, Ty come ! I was truly blessed being given the opportunity to have Coco become part of my life.
